The other ways that the Republicans can win...

I'm sure at least some of you watched the Presidential Debate last night. You know, the one with John McCain and "that one"... Regardless, it's starting to become clearer and clearer to focus groups and Americans alike that Barack Obama is looking more and more fit for the presidency. While this may be music to my ears, I think there is still some reason for concern. Why? Because Americans haven't voted yet. And nevermind the Bradley Effect, which, in my opinion, is still pervasive and will prove to be fodder for political columnists for months after the election. The way Republicans (arguably, of course) have won/stole elections (again, arguably) in the last decade is not based on the number of votes cast, but the number of votes counted. The shady business that has started to resurface scares the crap out of me. To disenfranchise voters by telling them that they will lose their right to vote if they come to a polling location with a campaign shirt on is petty and mean. To cheat people out of their right to vote because they shared a name or address with a convicted felon is a despicable practice that disproportionately affects people of color in the United States. This is not 1968; this stuff happened four and eight years ago. And to think that there is only so much we can do to stop it makes me wanna blog. A lot. But don't worry, there are a few other ways we can win, too...
